Rage 128 Mobility Drivers for ME!!

Hi all, i have a friend who has inhereted his dad's old laptop, as it's miles better than his current desktop he has taken to using it all the time, and installing all his games on it, etc.. and for the most part it's been great, he's been bringing it over my house and plugging it into my network to play games togther.
We however have come across a problem, Rise of Nations (a game that we both want to play via the network) has a bug in it that causes a graphics problem for all Rage 128 graphics cards (his has the mobility rage 128), but the site lists the soloution as getting the latest drivers.
This is where we have a problem, ATI themselves don't host the drivers for this chipset, so i'm looking to find a copy of the latest drivers so we can fix this problem.
we have been to the laptop manufactorers site to find the drivers, but the ones we can find are 3 years old, and i'm sure that since then there has to have been some updates.
Can anyone else, does anyone know where i can get the drivers for this chipset?

No, i took a look at that page last night, he has an AJP machine (http://www.ajp.co.uk/) and as I said i've visited the driver download page for his model (http://www.ajp.co.uk/supportNew/driver_html/8500V.htm) and installed what it tells me are the latest drivers, but it does not solve the problem.
