I work for a company that does logos and things for companies, and I recieve a majority of the logos we do via e-mail. Lately, I been recieving a lot of mail that appears to be viruses. We have a virus scan program installed, and it does scan all the mail for viruses, however, it doesn't seem to be working all that great. Is there a freeware program that may do the job better, or some sort of program where I can block emails from certain people, or certain attachments, as they seem to be the same mails over and over from different addresses. Thanks much.

What antivirus software are you using? Mcafee Viruscan? And what email program do you use to receive email?
If you are using Outlook, you can enable filtering using the Rules Wizard ... you said they are the same emails, sop I assume they contain the same body text ... just include that text into the rules wizard, and tell it to either redirect it to your trash or permanently delete it ...
Lemme know what antivirus program you have or what email client you use so I can give you further tips...

Whatever virus scan program you're using, you MUST make sure to update it frequently, or else it won't catch new virii as they appear.

I use mcafee office I don't know what version, and microsoft outlook 2000. I do update once a week but it doesn't seem to be helping.

In Outlook itself, you can block e-mails from certain people in a few different ways.
If you have all the latest security updates, Outlook will automagically block certain known-bad file extentions.
You can also use the Rules Wizard to create a rule that automagically deletes e-mail from certain people, or e-mail that has certain attachments, or e-mail that has certain words in the title and/or body.
Here's Microsoft Knowledge Base Article #OL2000: How to Use the Rules Wizard in Outlook 2000.
This, however, only works at the client level, not the server level -- the e-mails will still arrive in your inbox, but will be dealt with immediately by your rulebase.
