There seems to be a problem with OpenTechSupport.net not redirecting to OpenTechSupport.com
I have got some questions asking about the site, thinking its closed or gone, you should look into your previous URL and see if you can redirect it to your new dns. (also if you do that I will not have to update my page lol!)

Hey TH http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/smile.gif
Ya, we've been having problems with the domain name since last week ever since we moved servers. Our new webhost had faulty DNS servers and are currently creating new ones just to solve the domain name problem we have been experiencing (I was not the only one affected).
This was why I registered OPENTECHSUPPORT.COM thru NameZero.Com - as insurance, just in case .NET does not work. It redirects to the IP address of this site.
So I guess we wait until the weekend for the DNS server to be fixed. If I don't get any results from them (webhost), I will probably switch back to the old server, OR have you update your links to .COM ... since the latter takes too much work, the former would probably take precedence...

Is it cihost? I think wargy told me you were switching to them, and he said he was also. I warned him that I have read some bad stuff on usenet about them - of course that is after I prepaid a years worth of service http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/smile.gif

Ya, it's CIHOST. With the exception of this DNS fiasco, they're not a pretty bad webhosting service. They have fast servers and great support for server-side tweaking.
Then again, my above opinion about them will change if they can't solve this DNS problem. I also pre-paid for a year, but I still have 2-3 weeks to change my mind and get my money back if they don't fess up...

Have you ever called there tech support line? They have the absolute best music on hold that I have ever heard. The problems that I have had with them include not setting up my account for a week when they said it would be 24 hours, never sent me information on the free stuff I was supposed to get for signing up, frequent POP mail problems, messages being returned undeliverable and server not available when checking mail, and for a day whenever you went to my site it asked for a user name and a password. And I have been using them for about a month - besides that they are great http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/smile.gif

Yo Wargy http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/smile.gif
CIHOST would have been great. Lotsa space, lotsa features, fast servers. But two weeks of unresolved DNS problems? You get my point, hehehe.
My new host gives me 1/5 of the space offered by CIHOST, but at least they got our domain name to point to the IP address in less than 48 hours. Besides, I have HiSpeed.Com to go to for big files http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/smile.gif
The SlashUBB News script we are using here is a slightly modified version. It just seemed a little more streamlined and cleaner-lookin' than the original. The headline thing is also a variation of the SlashUBB script.
I have ceased adding more radical features to the UBB script. I'm now just looking for ways to speed em up and make em look and function better http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/smile.gif
