Diablo 2 crashing problem

 I have diablo 2 and when I get into games it just crashes after so long. Usually when I am attacking something it slows down a good bit also.  someone please help!

You can describe it just by saying "It crashed" hehe, what does the error say? Does it give an error or does it just freeze. And if it freezes, does your cpu stop responding or is it just Diablo 2?

Post back with your system specs. It sounds like you may need to upgrade something. Extra programs running can also hinder performance.
If you haven't already, hit CTRL+ALT+DEL and shut down all extra programs after bootup. In the list, only leave systray, explorer, rnnaapp if connected via dial-up, and point32 or other mousepointer driver you may have.
After you shut down all unnecessary programs, try running Diablo 2. It should run better.
Post back with your system specs if it still runs slow.
