10 Reasons Computers Crash

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

BoomGames has written an interesting little article about why computers crash, as well as ways on how to cope with it, if not prevent them from happening again.

Here's an excerpt:

It happens to us all - our computer picks a time when we're in the middle of something fun or important, and the crashes. Screaming in frustration we may inflict damage on the keyboard or ourselves while we attempt to overcome the frustration and return to the point we were at.

Personally, I've known my Windows 2000 machine to inflict hell. In the middle of a Counter-Strike game, I'll start thinking about my excellent ratio (a real rare occurrence, as the veterans on the boomgames.com cs server know) only to be met by a mocking access violation.

Sound painfully familiar? Well go ahead and check out the article here.
