What is the diffrence between ladder matches on bnet compared with normal games on bnet? I've been reading up on 1.10 and hearing of all these new and cool things that you can only get in ladder games, so i want in, but i don't know what the diffrence is, or even how to become part of it.
Thanx

Right now there is no difference between normal realm characters and ladder realm characters, every realm character can get a place on the ladder if he/she is high enough level. In 1.10, there will probably be a box to check when you're creating a new character, which allows it to get on the ladder (and the ladder characters won't be able to play with non-ladders characters anymore).

that's cool, i must admit i've done some research and from the looks of it the ladder is even going to be reset every now and then (clear off all of the level 99 chars filling up the space on the hig score board).

the ladder is pretty bogus right now

According to Blizzard, it's going to be quite difficult to get a character to level 99--at least moreso than it is now. They are upping the experience gain penalty after level 70, so the ladder should thin out a bit. In the end, however, it becomes totally a function of a time commitment--which is why the ladder itself is [to me] unimportant. I'm only interested in the bonuses that come with playing on the ladder.

Heh heh....check out some of the items here that are marked with (Ladder Only) and you'll see the bonuses....not to mention in Ladder they up the chance of finding rares and uniques.
