Microsoft Security Bulletin Warns of NT and W2k Flaw

A security statement released yesterday by Microsoft to warn all Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 server administrators of a serious security hole. The "Unchecked Buffer in Index Server ISAPI Extension" could give a hacker virually complete control over the web server.

Microsoft thanks eEye for pointing the bug out and working with them to resolve the issues. They also urge all web server administrators to apply the patch immediately. You can view the bulletin here.
