Problem Hosting Custom Games on Battle Net

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

When I create custom games on Battle net, game will fill up with people. However, if I wait too long before launching the game all people disappear; some come back thinking that I have booted everybody, but I haven't done a thing.

I've been to the open tech support channel, and they don't know what it is. It seems that they "lag out". Does anybody know how to solve this problem, without telling me "go to your ISP"?

Appart from that, here are my specs, if they can be useful:
cable connection, 1.8 GHz AMD Athlon XP 1800+ processor, Hercules Prophet KYRO 4500 64 MB TV-out, Asus A6A266 motherboard, 512 M DDR RAM.

Please help

i have nearly the same problem - but the people lag and disconnect during the game. I forwarded the needed port with my router and the first 5 to 10 minutes of each game work fine but then everybody seems to be lagging first and then disconnects until i'm the only one left.

The main reasons for this problem are:
You are using Internet Connection Sharing.
Your Firewall is blocking the data Warcraft III is trying to send/receive.
Your Router and/or Warcraft III are not configured to forward data, on the port Warcraft III is checking, to the other computers on your network.

Internet Connection Sharing:
For information on configuring this to work with Warcraft III please review the information posted here.

Firewalls:
Make sure you have the latest updates installed from your Firewall manufacturer
By default Warcraft III uses port 6112, use the following steps to check the current port your version of Warcraft III is trying to use
Start Warcraft III
Click Options
Click Gameplay
Approximately half way down the screen you will see Game Port, this is the port you will need to make sure your Firewall is not blocking incoming or outgoing
Try playing the game

Routers and Warcraft III:
Make sure you have the latest updates installed from your Router manufacturer.
Configure the Game Port Warcraft III will use on each computer:
Start Warcraft III on each computer
Click Options
Click Gameplay
Approximately half way down the screen you will see Game Port, each of your computers will need to use a different port
Example: Computer #1 can use port 6112, computer #2 can use port 6113, computer #3 can use port 6114, and so on.
Configure your Router to forward the incoming data for port x to the computer where you setup Warcraft III to use that port
For more information on configuring your router, please contact your router manufacturer.
Try playing the game.

For users with a Linksys router, specific instructions can be found here. ( http://www.blizzard.com/support/?id=mgi0652p ).
