ok i am gonna post this at [TG] site also. i was playing counter strike a few mins ago. then LJ[TG] and cardman[TG] some of the admins come in.
well me and a guy named K.O. and The-Bud-Frog were all killed for camping. ok yes thats lame so we stopped doing it and i dont mean shot LJ and Card were using their adminstration slap wich kils you, cause they didnt like it. ok so we stopped when i died i went to see what they were doing. and LJ was camping the bathroom in militia. i was asking why hes like that he'll kill us and do it himself and noone can make him stop? so he killed me like 5 times with his amin commands. then card is saying o this is my server and i like it this way and then i called them lame and they kiked me out of the game.
well i dont know if i was banned cause i havent gone in agin or tryed but i think thats not cool at all. i mean saying they cant do it and punish them and do it yourself is kinda wrong and abusing your adminstration skills also is very wrong. so i dont know if card is the server runner guy what ever but if he isnt id like to bring this to attention cause i dont think i will be playing the [TG] cs server anymore if its gonna be like that. and i think who ever runs it should do something about it.
i had people agreeing with me that also left the game K.O. left and the-bud-frog left cause of it. i would sugguest taking away their adminstration skills away but im not incharge.
well this is all i have to say for right now but if i get banned i am officially quiting [TG] caus ewargy changing the site does not apeal to me and the cs server be run by dumb ***s does not either. so ill be around

I sympathize with ya Pepsi ... it's not the first time I heard of CS admins abusing their power (happened to uh..ok on a separate thread, but that had a happy ending).
In any case, I hope you work it out with the so-called "admins". If I had another computer I'd put up an OTS CS server, but unfortunately I don't (yet).
In any case, I'm moving this to the appropriate forum

Well, i'm glad everything got cleared up. Pepsi-man realised he exaggerate a bit and he never realized some of the rules we have on the server. He's a well-informed man now.

Do we really need another CS server?
there are other games you know.
Quake 2 is the one that springs to mind, nearly all of us played it in the old days and I think our own dedicated would be pretty damn fun.
soon as I get a site up I'll be throwing up my pak9's for people to download and if we have a q2 server more people will end up picking them up ^_^

We have a lot of regs on the CS server. If I were to shut it down I think a lot of people would personally hunt me down.
And yes we have a Quake2 server as well.

and is it the DM map rotations?
or is it rail arena or something flakey?

We have 4 servers actually.
TFC - 63.119.211.9
CS - 63.119.211.15
DOD - 63.119.211.13
Quake2 - 63.119.211.17
And the Q2 server just got setup yesterday. It's running Vanilla CTF (server side mod).
TG used to play Quake2 on a Vanilla CTF server a couple of years ago. A few of us got nostalgic. It will probably be empty all the time but we're gonna try it out. If it's always empty we'll go with Q2 Lithium and if that's always empty we'll go with something else.

I'd like to go back to Q2, but I can't seem to find my Q2 CD anywhere .. oh well...

Oh and the map rotaton for Q2 Vanilla CTF is interesting. It consists of all the default CTF Maps, all the default DM Maps and all the single player maps.
So, the map rotation is huge. And yes there are flag points in all these maps. That's the beauty of Vanilla CTF.
Quake3 or SOF or UT is possible depending on how well the Q2 server does.

I was on the q2 server earlier, had 300 or so ping with no other players.
where is it based? I usually only got that much ping on servers across the country, I also had ICQ running so that could have been the problem.
I ping low 200's on dsl servers up and down the east coast, and as low as 180 medium on t1 servers up and down the east coast, but it starts going real high once it hits middle of the country.
VCTF is pretty cool, although a bit lame on some maps (can get a capture in 15 seconds or less on tokays) but if there was a bunch of players and decent ping (250 or so) I'd be playing there almost every day.

It's in Calhoun, Georgia.
The 4 servers are on 3 T1s.
We've been having hacker problems trying to upload porn to it for warez sites so your high ping may be attributed to that. Try it again later.

yeah just tried it again, no one was on it still but I had 186 ping, shot up to 250 but I had an average of 230.
well within playable limits, now I just need someone to play with ^_^

We had a firearms server but it wasn't half as popular as the DOD server. I did enjoy firearms but I prefer DOD. Maps are so much more detailed.
The next firearms patch will take out the AUG so that problem will go away. The next DOD patch (1.3) will be out in about a week. You should give it another try.
