Anyone used Ad-Aware?

If you have, i'm wonderin how many processes running you have had and how many objects detected... I think I may have set a record on that when i ran it on my parents computer, i'll have to load up the screen shot in a little bit.

Oh yeah, also, laggy, I submitted ad-aware for the downloads database, wonderin if you deemed it "not worthy" or something.

Be a good idea to delete all that stuff, you probably would discover a new computer after that.

I think I found 600 on my parents computer. Thats what happens when that computer just builds up after 3 years.

my parents has been buildin up for less than a year!!

Posted by: Gerbilo

not trying to be a smart ass here, but if it was xp's fault, every xp user would have their computer junked up like that.

even though i guess you could blame the spyware it'self, it's not too difficult to figure out that, operator error has everything to do with issues such as that.

Posted by: Gerbilo

hehehe, i just blame XP for everything, most of the time i know it doesn't have anything to do with it, i just like to make it the scapegoat :-D

Posted by: Aly9789

oh gosh, no, no porn on the internet, thank you very much.

Posted by: Gerbilo

Brilliant Digital's B3D Projector was once bundled with Kazaa. It plays media files and is a plugin for Internet Explorer. It can also track your viewing habits and produce targeted ads. You should be safe removing it.

The tracking cookies are oftenly placed by advertisements. Delete them.

Alexa is a toolbar that can contain spyware. Delete it if you don't use it, or use Alexa.com as an alternative.
