Splash Screen/ Cd Problem

Hi all. I noticed a few other people, including myself, have been having problems getting to the main menu of Warcraft 3. I put my CD in and the Setup screen somes up. So I hit play and the splash screen comes up. Within a few seconds, there's a message that says to enter the CD into the drive, when it is already there. It was working before this afternoon. My Specs are: HP Pavillion - 933MHz, Pentium 3, Intel 16-bit graphics card. ( I know that's not the problem though ) Some people say to update the BIOS, but I'm not sure.
Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing difficulties with using your CD to play.
Many computers have two optical drives, If you have the option available to you, try using the second drive.
Also make sure you are using the original retail copy of the cd.

Make sure you are using the latest available version of the game. ( http://www.blizzard.com/patches/ )
Try enabling or disabling the CD-ROM settings for Sync Data Transfer, DMA, and Auto-Insert Notification.
