i have this scanned image of this sketch i drew, i drew the sketch on a plain regular white 8.5 by 11 paper, but when i print it out, the back ground came out too dark, i was wondering, is there anyway to make the back ground pure white?
here's a sample of the image, the original image is in TIF format

You can set the fill tool to have a color difference tolerance. If you fiddle with that, you might be able to just fill all the light grey areas.

Select > Modify > Border will give you a selection around that area with the width you set.

You can make multiple selections by holding the shift key.
