System Shock two help

I can not get this game to install on Windows 2000. I pop the cd into the cd rom. Start to run the install and it says something like "NT detected, setup will not continye." Is there anyway around that. The game is system shock two.

The game probably wasn't designed to run on Win2K, just Win9x (SS2 came out before Win2K was shipped) ... I guess you're SOL, unless you can find possible patches (if they exist)...

It is only supported on Windows 9x. Probably because of the 16-bit drivers.

Getting the windows 2000 compatibility updates from the windows update site will probably fix your problem. Or, installing service pack 2 (which has most of the compat updates in it)

I did download the updated service pack, and now remebering I think it also said something about not being able to install because of directx 6.1 capabilities
