Problem installing an Abode program

Hello everyone well I need some help here. my computer has been acting up in general lately. (freezing up and things like that) but I just recently tried installing Adobe Premire 6.0 for windows. (i have windows ME) and everytime i start to install it , it says "unable to open file C:\\windows\temp\TD_0001.DIR\archive.1. " so i went under search and searched for that file, and it can't find it. I appreciate any help because I'm really stuck.. thanks!
