StarCraft WinXP SP1 lag

i have both winxp and win98 on my comp with starcraft broodwar. when i am on winxp my lag is always 4 yellow and when i am on win98 my lag is 2 green. i tried having my firewall off but it still wont help. can someone plz help me. thx

I can help u w/ the lag but not color if u have programs running (look on bottom right of screen) close them to get less lag and internet connection helps if u have a bad internet connection then u will get big lag
