Has anyone been checking out Gamecube releases for the next 3 or 4 months? Theres quite a few games coming up that just might be pretty good...
Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike
F-Zero GX
Soul Calibur II(with Link)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life
Pikmin 2
Kirby Air Ride
And Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles might even make it in November. Besides Rogue Squadron of course, Im very interested in Kirby Air Ride and TMNT.

Supposedly it will use a one button control scheme... sounds frickin lame.
other than that, yeah... some solid stuff. I'm gonna miss Fzero and starwars. the others I could probably do without or pick up on another system, but Fzero and starwars look killer

I've got F-Zero pre-ordered. I'll probably get the Final Fantasy game and Soul Calibur. Maybe, maybe Star Wars.

Yea, it's about time that Nintendo finally got with the game. Only bad thing is though, it's still not for another few months...
Can Not Wait for F Zero tho, looks so frickin cool! I'll lose sleep playin that one I'm thinkin...

It looks like this is their fall and holiday lineup. I checked on November/December and there really wasnt a whole lot.

Have you tried it for gamecube yet? The local Game Crazy around here has the import out for play on gamecube and sure enough, that controller is really awful for it. A fighting stick is an absolute must.
Playing as link was mighty cool though.

I played the demo on the preview disc and liked it, but yeah the GC controllers suck big time for fighting games. (other than Smash)
I may pick it up a few months down the road after it drops in price just so I can play Link though.

It should be on their "platinum hits", or whatever their big sellers thing is, by now though. Its been out over 1 1/2 years. GTA3 has sold over something like 12 million now, it recently got put on greatest hits for PS2 and I think PC as well, for $20.
Cant really milk SSBM much longer...

Smash Brothers already dropped in price.
It's part of Nintendo's gamecube "greatest hits" type lineup of games. I cant remember exactly what its called, but its just like all the other system's greatest hits-- older games that drop in price.
Only lame thing is that the gamecube ones arent 19.99. They're 29.99.

Nintendo announced those games as their fall lineup and had been toting them around like so as well(except crystal chronicles). I expected them to be released as the fall lineup, like they said, not because EB or Gamestop had them listed as a certain date.
Oh well, at least Rebel Strike is still gonna make it.

The first release date for that game was the "expected" not the final. I expected it April, but finnaly got it in June.
Console games seem to be getting delayed more and more now, its turning into PC. Look at the latest Tomb Raider. Although it sucked, it kept getting delayed more and more, then come to find out it was released early to be out when the movie was out.
But anyways, Nintendo blew their fall slaughter lineup. I question just what is going on over there.

I dont understand why METROID (NES) was such a big hit. And now its still living on. METROID was really boring. The whole game is like the same color, you just like jump and shoot little balls. I dont think it should be known as a classic

Oh, and as for the cheap GameCubes from GameStop, they're referbished (sp?), right? Soma bought one of those, and it broke pretty quickly. Compared to a new one, that is. That may be because he took it everywhere and left it in his car, but still, if I buy a GC I don't want it breaking in less than a year.

Yeah he means refurbished ones. But if you're going refurbished, Electronics Boutique is the way to go. They offer a 3-year warranty on all their refurbished systems for like $20. Which is a sweet deal. The warranty I believe is no questions asked as well.

That's a pretty sweet deal.
I was checking out the EB used package. You get resident evil, a controller and something else for like 154 bucks. A sweet deal if you ask me.

Nah, I wasnt talking about the refurbished systems. Just plain used ones. Gamestop sells those for 69.99.... Refurbs are like 10 or 20 bucks more.
And, if you buy one refurbished, you get the same warranty from the manufacturer that you would if you bought it new.
So, if you know someone who bought a refurbished one that broke- tell them to bring it back.
Hell, even if it was just a plain used one... bring it back.

Yeah, that's true, but if one is buying a ps2, I'd rather get a refurbished one with a 3 year warranty on it than getting a new one with a 90 day. Since they break so easily.

BEST game in the world at the moment (in my opinion) is Splinter Cell,
I got it on the best console there is (gamecube)

yeah, y dont they make em cheaper. new ps2 games get price drops faster than game cube. also, have you tried wario world, i hear that its great. So is mario golf toadstool tour and theyre gonna make mario kart for the cube.
