SIMS problem

I recently installed sims superstar and I now have a problem with my mouse. The pointer stops intermittently and is a major problem since I do a lot of CAD work. I uninstalled the program but still have the problem. It is an optical mouse so there is no mechanical problem. Any suggestions?

maybe your optic cords are screwed or the game doesnt like it

Have you tried removing the mouse from the device manager, rebooting, and letting Windows redetect it?

intellipoint will repair optical drivers, try that next.
