FLT_DIVIDE_BY_ZER(c000008e)
This happens many times and doesnt let me play at all. I have
un-installed the prgram and re-installed it and updated my
graphic driver to the latest one i can.

Did this happen right after you used the 1.08 patch? Or has this been happening even before you installed the patch? Are you using an old Voodoo-based video card?
Please post your complete computer specs, and also check this other thread, posted by someone who had the same problem...

this happened after i put in the patch. my specs are:
667Mhz, 64MB Ram, Intel(R) 810e

Does that motherboard have an integrated video card? Did you download the latest drivers for it and see if it worked? What operating system are you running? More details please

...err i know a little about computers but i dont know about that integrated motherboard thing..i run windows 98 and yes i did download the latest driver for my chipset...i dont know what else to tell ya. ask me if u need something else.

Hmmm, it's a weird problem, and the fact that it has a "divide by zero" error means it's more a problem with the way they made the patch more than anything else... And it seems to just have this error with older (or non-nvidia) video chipsets...
I guess you need to just reinstall Diablo II and NOT patch it using the latest patch so that you can continue playing ... however, if you wanna play on bnet, then you need to wait for Blizz to issue a patch for that patch to fix your problem
Stay tuned for updates or further suggestions...

oh man thats tough....what if i were to buy one of those good graphic cards like voodoo3fx or another one like it?

It "may" work, coz most users don't have much problems with it. Although it depends on how your motherboard supports the new video card ... does it have an AGP slot?
Might be worth a try ... you can see if it works with the new video card, and if it doesn't, you can just return the vidoe card the next day and get a refund ...
If you're gonna buy a new video card, get a cheap geforce2 mx ... it's more than enough to play D2 ...

how can i find about if it has an 'AGP slot"?
Also at how much is the price of the Geforce2 mx?
Thx for the help also
