Starcraft, i dont know if i put this in the right place or not but heres my problem . ive played starcraft on my computer before and it worked fine (im a big sc fan) anyway , i restored the harddrive and erased it all and blah blah... long story and , now i tried to install starcraft and it installs like 6 blocks and then it freezes.. just stops.. it usually takes about a minute or two to install starcraft but i still thoght maybe it just would take a while. so i left it on installing overnight i woke up and looked and it was still stuck.. ive looked on other sites and it tells u how to fix this..but they only give instructions on how to fix it on other operationg systems besides xp... i dont know what to do ive tried running it in other compatibility modes and that didnt work , tried lots of other things please help me... i dont know how i can get your reply but my email is allengenius@AOL.com

Have you tried cleaning the cd? If that doesn't work, try putting it in another drive instead, like a burner (if you have another drive).

ive tried cleaning it ive tried everything

There's about a 0.0001% chance that it has anything to do with Windows XP. Beyond that, I'd say what Outlaw said: clean the CD or use another drive to install from. If all else fails, go drop $5 for a new disc and see if that helps.
