ok you guys know the I/O button, that's behind your PC, on the power supply
ok i usually turn those off after i shut down my computer, is it a bad thing?

Not really.... its not going to effect anything.
I don't see the reason for it though.... if it's still pluged in, it's still open to power surges.

the reason i turn those off is because when i leave them on, the power supply get hot, even when my computer is not turned on

i've never really heard of that before, never heard of anyone turning their comp off at the source there either though... odd... hrmmm

The power supply shouldn't get hot since there's no draw being placed upon it. If it gets hot, it might be a sign that it's quite undersized.

These types of switches are commonplace in ATX PSUs. They're referred to as soft-switching power supplies.
In normal operation there is no need to turn the switch to the OFF (O) position since the power supply is equipped with a soft on/off feature which turns your computer on and off through the soft switch on your computer case. You may need to turn the switch to the OFF position occasionally should your computer crash and you cannot shut it down through use of the soft switch.
