MB asus a7a266 with ali chipset incompability with gforce vga cards?

hi everybody.i have a big problem.Anybody who can help pleaseeeee do so.
I have a ASUS motherboard with ALI MAGIK1 chipset and an NVIDIA GFORCE 4MX440 AGP 8X 128DDRAM and i can't get them to work together no mather what i do.Until now i reinstaled even my WIN98 operating system then instaled the latest ALI and ASUS drivers and NVIDIA drivers but after my computer reboots it goes until the window is loading and then reboots again and again.PLLLLLLLLLease help me if you know a solution to that problem.My e-mail is robyistvan@yahoo.com

What kind of power supply do you have? Is is it enough wattage? Put in your old card and try messing with safe mode to remove drivers and/or messing with the agp settings in the bios. Only other thing I could recommend is trying a newer version of windows (2000 or XP) or getting a different video card.
