If u tried to Help me With the problem i had with te error i kept getting"UNHANDLED EXCEPTION FLT_DIVIDE_BY_ZERO(c000008e)
u wont believe what the solution was!!!

I (finally) receieved a letter from blizzard about the error i had. It seems that everytime u clicked on the character's feet it would make thae game crash!!!

Can u believe this!!

Thanks to all of u who gave me help...Even though it was the most stupid of stupid errors a game can possibly make in my opinion...LOL. This is just too funny

Hehehe, it proves our suspicions that there was something wrong with how they made the patch ... divide by zero is usually a software coding error ... although I wouldn't call "that" a solution, since they just told ya what was causing it, not on how to fix it ... but I guess they're implying that they'll be releasing a 1.08a patch ... well, that's Blizzard for ya...

Too Funny

LOL

Kind of strange that none of the Blizzard patch testers ever clicked on the characters feet. Then again, judging by the monster art, they don't seem to think anything looks better above 640X480..hehe

Hmmm...I must try this out myself.

Geez. Blizzard has no sense of quality at all. WTF.

They need a wake up call.

Hey chako that bug doesnt affect everyone. I asked around to all my friends to click on their character's feet and nothing happened. It must have to do with certain drivers or Computer models...or at least thats my guess...

Posted by: Chako

Your right, I could not replicate that bug. It is sad though that such a bug exist in the first place....Blizzard had better call the Orkin man pronto!

it is unfortunately typical blizzard quality. they are more concerned about adding code to make everyone party up whether they play D2 single play offline or not than they are in actually making the game fun *sigh*. it is reallllly sad when each class is hamstrung by having to spend almost alltheir points in skills in just 2-3 areas to make the game playable. i could go on and on about D2 but it is such a bugged POS. each new patch doesnt fix anything only adds more problems and makes the game less fun.

could say the same about UO janna, but I think most of UO's problems are design in nature, rather than poor quality or thinking.

in d2, they don't really think about what they do, they just do it and make us use it wether we like it or not.

in UO, they test a lot of it out, and while there ARE a lot of good features, one of the main things that made me quit playing it was the fact that they totally killed the thief class.

years ago, anyone with a decent connection could out-run the guards, and LPB's could run circles around them.

now, they teleport in and instantly strike you, you can't out-run them, you can't hide from them, and if I remember correctly you can't even go into a gate after preforming a criminal action.

I can understand theese things happening in the kiddie world, but in the other world, it should be as hard as possible to survive without common sense in banking and dealing with people (IE: don't walk up to a GM mage and tell him he sucks, you'll get 6 ebolts and a Fs or two from his cohorts hiding behind the trees).

I could go on and on, but I think I've made my point.
