i'm having problems with msn messenger and my hotmail account

For the past couple days i haven't been able to log on the my hotmail account of my msn messenger. For messenger in the options, connection tab it says that I am surently NOT connected to the .NET messaging service. I have it set to detect my default connection and my internet connection is working. As for my hotmail account everytime i click sign in an error page shows up saying this page cannot be displayed. the error page comes up every single time i try to log in. Does anybody know what's up with this and/or how to fix it.

try to make a new account see if that works, also if you delete your cookies and tempary internet files it might help.
how to do this: go to internet explorer->tools->internet options->delete files (check offline content) then hit clear history.

Well i tried that and I still can't sign in to my hotmail account, and I still don't know what to do about my messenger

this problem happed to me before .....
I didn't do any thing much ,, only waited few minutes ... then I tried it again ... and it worked good

you can try to delete cookies + temporary files ...
then login to your account (maybe work)
waiting for results

I've decided to give up on the problem all together, instead of using msn i now resort too yahoo messenger and a yahoo e-mail account, thanks for the advice tho
