ps2 disc error

my ps2 will play dvd's but it won't play black game discs. it says there is no data when it starts

You sure it says that instead of "Disc Read Error"?
You may have to use a CD/DVD cleaner on your PS2 ... however, disc read errors have been a common manufacturing flaw in PS2's...

i ran a lens cleaner through it and hauk up a lugi on buff the stit outta the disks and they played lol
