Lately when I open IE and then open Outlook express and then close Outlook Express, IE closes also, requring me to reopen it. How do I cure this? It just started doing this. Thanks for any help. gun44

Outlook Express may be running through your browser ... does it launch a separate window when you run it, or does your browser window automatically show Outlook Express?
You may want to run Outlook Express separately by launching it through a desktop shortcut rather than from the browser... anyway, post back with more details...

Outlook express does open in a seperate window. I tried to launch from the desktop, but got the same result. If I have IE open, OE closes it. I have Microsoft Explorer also and when I launched from OE from the desktop and then closed it, it closed ME also. It's not too big a problem, just aggravating. Thanks for your help. If you have anymore suggestions, I would appreciate them. gun44

try going to tools>internet options>programs tab
remove anything pertaining to outlook express.

Thanks fibbi, you solved my problem in a way. I went to IO and then to programs, and first thing hit reset web settings and that cured this problem. Thanks very much. gun44
