username and password popup

Could someone help me????.....I am running windows XP and I am trying to access my websites admin control panel and I get a popup asking for my username and password and when I type in the correct info (after three times) I get this error
Authorization Required
This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required.
I contacted me host and he said when he tried it, it worked fine and said I need to change my settins and my browser configuration.....could someone tell me when I need to change

Sounds like that's something you're going to have to ask your web host... we can't possibly know how he/she set it up for you or what browser configuration they require... Sorry...
