Im using a gf4 mx440se now with no problems.
I got a free FX5200 from a mate and I tried to install it.
I uninstalled my gf4 and drivers and then switched the cards over and it started up and windows (XP) identified my FX5200 card correctly and I installed the drivers.
After the driver install finished it came up with an error saying something like "Data is something or rather" in other words this isnt working.
Is my card screwed or something?
MOBO: GA-7ZXE
RAM: 448mb SDRAM
CPU: Athlon 1700
Windows XP pro
I tried to use that detonator destroyer but it doesnt work with XP so I used another one that seemed to have worked.
Maybe I gotta change my BIOS? I have no idea
plz help
Thanks

Try checking your bios to make sure agp 8x is enabled, if it is not an option then it is likely that your motherboard does not support the speed. Some cards in the gfx5200 series have stepping options that allow them to move their AGP settings down to support older motherboards, so also check and see if your card i one of those. The final thing that you should do is completely unintall the drivers and then do a fresh reinstall using the Detonator 45.23 drivers.
