battle net problem

when i try to connect to battle net it is giving me this error message instantly
unable to connect to battle.net, you may be trying to connect to an invalid battle.net server, if you are using a modem you may need to manually connect to the internet before going on battle.net
i am connected to the net , i disabled the firewall and i am using a pirated copy of warcraft. but i dont think that that is the problem becoz the message comes instantly.
