Lod installation problems

it tells me that i don't have diablo 2 installed, and to make sure its installed. I know its installed, i've tried to uninstall it then reinstall it but it just doesn't work. Is there anyway for me to let it know its installed

Yes, uninstall Diablo II again - and straight after completely delete the diablo II folder and all sub dirs - reinstall Diablo II then LoD should work and prompt for the upgrade when you put the disc in.
