CD Burner Problems... sorta..

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Ok, this is about the oddest problem I've run into. I'm running MUSICMATCH Jukebox's Burner. My friend burns a data disc using it, but for some reason it won't work on his computer, when he places it in the drive it freezes. And is forced to restart.

My system specs:

OS: Windows XP
Processor: 400Mhz Pentium II
Burner: Hi-Val CDR/RW Burner

Friend's Computer:

OS: Windows 98
Processor: He believes it to be a P2

I'm guessing it's a driver problem, we're going to try using Nero this time. It's worked before, and it stopped working after I formatted my computer. I'll figure out the manufacturer and such of the drive, and/or find the disc to install the specific drivers.

The problem is most likely with your burn process. It seems like an error is ocuring during the burn that is causing there to be read errors in the disc. Since Win98 does not cope well with inexpected errors your friends computer is crashing. Go ahead and try it with Nero and another brand of media. If the problem persists, let me know.
