No sound with new soundcard!?!

I have a very frustrating problem. I have just recently purchased a new soundblaster live! sound card that I have installed and have dissabled my onboard sound. I downloaded the newest drivers for the card and have run those but the only time the sound works is after the drivers are installed but before the final reboot occurs. when the reboot finishs and the installation is finalizing it returns with no sound again.
I am running winxp pro
512mb ram
axp2000
Sound Blaster Live! (SB0220)
on an ASUS A7V333 motherboard
If anyone can suggest something it is greatly apreciated! Thanks for looking.

I had the same problem when trying to use a creative product (Audigy 2) with my Asus mobo (A7N8X-Deluxe). I think what you need to do is get the latest bios for your motherboard (availible from www.asus.com/support/support.aspx) and then try it again. I would recomend using the asus update utility for the update (also availible from the above link). Hope this solves the problem, if not you know where to find me.
