AOL and AT&T Grow Closer

NEW YORK (Reuters) - America Online Inc., the No. 1 Internet company in the world, and AT&T Wireless Group Inc. on Wednesday expanded a marketing pact to develop a new co-branded service, and promote wireless data services such as Instant Messaging, electronic mail and Internet content.
The deal builds on an existing relationship between the two companies that began last year with the launch of AOL Mobile service on AT&T Digital PocketNet telephones. That pact allowed AOL members to get e-mail, news, stock quotes and other information over AT&T Wireless's Internet-ready phones.
For AT&T cellphone users, this will allow for a greater range of options to transmitt messages and news and bring the possibility of accessing greater internet uses away from just computers. Read more at Yahoo here and here.
