trouble sending emails

How do I get my email to let me send out new mail,it keeps telling me their is an error.can someone please help me. Thank You

What is the exact error message?
What email client are you using?
What ISP do you use?
There have been many issues throughout the internet with sending and recieving email this past week due to the latest worms. It may just be a temporary problem.
