severe-driver not found.... soundmax

i recently reinstalled windows xp on my dell 8300 desktop. when i go to install the drivers i can install them all except the audio driver. it is analog devices ADI 198x Integrated Audio Rev: A09-00. when i hit the install now button... the windows pops up asking if i want to open, save, or whatever... i choose open just like the instructions tell me to do...Soundmax starts to install and at the end it says... SEVERE... driver not found.please reboot system and try setup again. well i've rebooted and tried again and got the same message... i even tried setup from the folder it was extracted to... c:dell\drivers\r5182... and that doesnt work... i went to device manager... and tried installing from there... and that doesnt work... i dont know what else to do... can somebody please help???!!!!!! thanks... phene

hey man thanks but i just fixed it on my own.... turns out i needed a sound blater live driver.... dummy me.... thanks anyhow.

i have the same problem i have a asus p4p800 deluxe its a 865pe chip
and when ever i go to install soundmax 1985 driver i get the same error after i formatted my c drive and reinstalled any help on where i can get the severe driver file from please ty btw im on winxp pro
