Empire Earth Sound Sticks or Echos

I'm going through the training stages of Empire Earth but the voice over/music sticks or has an echo effect.
Im running XP, and no idea what type of video card or sound cards I have. Checking under hardware, there are at least five different ones listed. How do I check for current drivers?

Use the update driver tool for all sound devices. Also make sure that your drivers do not have any audio effects enabled. Also try grabbing the latest patch for the game.

You might want to look in the game options and make sure environmental audio (EAX) is disabled. Also, you might want to check in your sounddrivers and make sure EAX isn't on by default.
