But are they this fast?

Sep 4, 2003

5:36 pm Arrived at FedEx Ramp SACRAMENTO CA
4:12 pm Left FedEx Sort Facility MEMPHIS TN

They borrowing Concords to run their packages now?

Posted by: redwench

think time zones.

Posted by: Blackknight

So 4:12 EST to 5:36 PST...in other words 4:12EST to 8:36 EST

Makes sense. FedEx's 727's should go from KMEM to KSMF in rougly 3 hours, 45 minutes.

Oh and FedEx is the devil.

Posted by: TheeMon

yeah from pittsburg airport TO ohair(sp?) airport in chicago takes only 5 mins (its a 1hour n 5 min flight and theres 1 timezone)

Posted by: Erekose

heh i once saw a ticket with 1 minute between departure and arrival (i think it was my high school chem teacher, cant be certain)

my cousin works for FedEx...makes decent money

Well, they have screwed me once again, this is the 3rd time. The dumbass that delievered it didnt leave the package. No signature was required on it. I payed for 2nd day shipping, now it wont be delievered again til the 8th.

Im going down to that office tomorrow, they are open from 10am to 1:30pm, and Im gonna chew out whoever is in there. I dont care if its some secretary, someone is getting a 2nd a$$hole torn.

All these shipping companies are terrible now. The only one that Ive ever found to be reliable, believe it or not, is USPS. FedEx wont leave items and wont ring your doorbell. UPS delievers items to the wrong address(deleivered a $150 PC case to the wrong address) or when they leave it, they dont try and cover it at all.

Posted by: redwench

fedex wont leave anything (or they shouldnt) unless your signature is on file giving them permission to do so. either they dont have it, or they lost it.
if youre going to be there tomorrow, just pick it up.

Posted by: SKYHN

They have always left my packages that didnt require a signature. The last 2 times when they didnt leave something, it required a signature.

They dont deliever on the weekends btw, unless you have their special weekend shipping.

USPS > everything else.

Priority shipping rocks all forms of ass

Posted by: redwench

yes they dont deliver. but if they are open, you can usually pick up. i know ups drivers can use their own judgement about leaving packages, fedex might too. or they lost your permission sig. or this one got shipped needing a signature. who knows? you should be able to pick it up tonight or tomorrow.

Posted by: SKYHN

Their closed already tonight. Im heading over there in the morning though when they open. And its not going to be pretty

ok, lets string her up.

Posted by: Blackknight

I dunno, I was happy with FedEx Express. (Not ground mind you, all forms of ground suck.)

September 4
3:51 pm Delivered DAYTON OH No signature required - release waiver on file
7:24 am On FedEx vehicle for delivery MIAMISBURG OH
7:16 am Arrived at FedEx Destination Location MIAMISBURG OH
September 3
7:48 pm Arrived at FedEx Ramp VANDALIA OH
3:55 pm Left FedEx Sort Facility INDIANAPOLIS IN
8:05 am Left FedEx Sort Facility LOS ANGELES CA
September 2
7:08 pm Arrived at Sort Facility LOS ANGELES CA
5:30 pm Left FedEx Origin Location CITY OF INDUSTRY CA
4:32 pm Pickup status CITY OF INDUSTRY CA

They even beat their own estimated date.

Pretty good if ya ask me, considering it was free shipping. But in all other cases when FedEx express saver isn't availible, USPS is the best option. Saturday delivery + no signature + FAST.

Have you hugged your USPS mailman today?

Posted by: redwench

yeah, now that i finally got a decent carrier usps is workable.

Posted by: uh...ok

FedEx > All.

Posted by: Gerbilo

yeah, fedex blows, especially when they make you goto Hillside to pick up your shit, god that sucked ass, USPS i don't have any porblems with, UPS, eh, i dont got a beef with them, other than when the delivery guy decided it would be grand to throw my video card across the driveway since i happened to be at the door... bastard, nothing broken though so....
