openGL problem Geforce4

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Just downloaded Jedi Academy and Homeworld 2 demos. Neither of them will run. Error reports point to openGL failing to initialize. I am currently using the most up to date drivers for my video card. I also downloaded an OpenGL Extension Viewer which shows that my system is 0% compliant with OpenGl versions 1.1-1.5. This is really strange to me. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

OS--Windows XP
CPU--AMD 2700+
Motherboard--Asus AV8X4M
RAM-- 1GB DDR
Video card--GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X using driver version 45.23

Ok, I have heard of this problem before. It also ocures on some GF3 cards using the latest drivers. What should fix the problem is uninstalling your current drivers and then installing the driver release 43.45 (availible from http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-2k_43.45.html).

The drivers did the trick, that and also quitting all non important processes in the task manager. Thanks.
