ooooo thatd be fun to have
Posted by: Dogleg
I write a cheque now and pop up to London to pick one up!
I wonder if they would like my rubber cheques, because of waterpoofing obviously!

Thats one SWEET car, MAN i gotta get one of those!!
Posted by: uh...ok
I mean, I get the fact that it's got no roof and all so you can enjoy the sun a la real boats... but wouldn't that get the inside of your car all wet and crap?
Posted by: Ghetto Blasta
It's probably water proof.
Posted by: Mists_Of_Avalon
Yea i'd love to have it but there are no close places for me to go boating around here. closest thing to that is like 5 hours away..
Posted by: Steve01
So, you drive there - lol. Puts a whole new meaning to "Road Trip".
That car wouldn't be very useful in Britain. You think being designed here they would have noticed the weather. Maybe it's got an electric roof

I was wondering that too. It is a convertable though, they just had the top down for demonstration. I saw it on TV a little while ago, the inside is all water resistant, all the instruments are sealed, and there is a bilge underneath the seats with a pump.
So we have car boats now. Where the hell are the flying cars? I wanna do the old Dr. Emmit Brown "Roads? Where were going we dont need any roads."

There have been car boats and car planes for a long time. They just never sell well or are never put into mass production.
Posted by: SKYHN
Yeah, but nothing like this. The other car boats and planes have been real simple and plain, or more military like. This thing is a sportscar

I think I'm in love........does it come in red?
Posted by: Ocean
for that coinage, they better make it in any damn color you want.
Posted by: Gerbilo
pretty damn cool, but i got a feelin that it doesn't have any balls on land if it can only go 100... either that or bad gearings i'll take one anyway...
Posted by: Cettie
You have a point!
Posted by: Phate
I wonder what kind of mileage you get on it...
Posted by: Gerbilo
Can't be too good, but now that you said that they are gonna make the aquaH2 and it's gonna be sucktastic
Posted by: Ghetto Blasta
If you have $235,000 to blow on a car-boat, you probably have the money to get a kickass land-only car if the car-boat does only get 100.

I'm trying to think of the practical uses for the carboat now - and I think I'm in need of help.
I guess here in Boston it'd be useful if you didn't want to pay bridge tolls and avoid traffic. But then how do you drive down into the river in the first place?
As for San Francisco... I guess if 101 is stuck on traffic you could dive into the Pacific. Again, points of entry and exit are questions that get brought up yet again.
But it IS a nice way to get to Alcatraz, Sausalito, or Oakland though.
Too bad you won't find that car selling anywhere near Arizona or Texas, or for the other 80% of the United States, even if the price WAS brought down to a consumer level (within reason, of course - it'd probably still have to be more expensive than yer average BMW).

Wow, thats impressive. But, what would a person realitically do with an amphibious RV?
Posted by: Blackknight
It could come useful when one is on a road trip from ohio to ontario and you don't want to go through Detroit/Windsor.
Posted by: Gerbilo
ok, terrawind is a million times better...
that stupid carboat can suck it
so, someone get me the terrawind and a.. hrmm... an enzo!
