PLEEEEAASSSEEEE help with Kyrandia 3

Hi, and thx for reading my message.
I need your help, if you could tell me how to play Kyrandia 3 (i'm using Windows XP) WITH sound. The soundcard-check tells me nothing at all and only when i've selected 'soundblaster' then it says it works BUT it DOESN'T.
If you could sent me a (usefull) answer, please do!!

Download this then post specs

AND

Try this approach
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp
(Just to make sure everything is up to date it might fix the problem)

Not really sure about this problem maybe someone else could help this guy/girl out!
