Ok, I have a bit of an angry touch in me now, not too long ago I was riding a NICE Honda 300ex sport 4-stroke quad and boy was it nice, but I found out something. Top gear is SLOW! I mean that thing might hit 60 if your lucky. I mean, when you buy a sport bike, you are expecting something fast but that thing, 6th gear, top RPM (Where the thing just doesn't have any more) is slow for the bike. I've always known Honda's to be fast for sport bikes but that was yet to much embarassment for me, specially when I got blown off the road by a Suzuki 250 Quad Runner. It may not have any impact on any of you, but still the point remains, I wanted to rant, so I did.  Anyways, that's not a sport bike, I'm still wanting to try the 400ex but if that's anembarassment as well, I'm going to find me an old Honda 250R
P.S. Saving up for new Quad to play with (One day I'll start a career in racing them )

Screw bikes...Honda makes the best Car engines. example= a 3.2L 6 that makes 260 hp and 232lb/ft of tourque all at a fat ass mid range curve....yummmm 6900rpm red!

yeah...for the price, the Aurora is a joke compared to the TL. even the base TL.(which is still a damn fine car)

Well screw both of those! How about a 8.2 Litre Cummings Diesel that redlines at about 4000 and puts out some MASSIVE tourqe? That's fun stuff, though I wouldn't mind a 3.3L Porsche that redlines at 7300 or so RPM with the Twin-Turbo system. Toss that baby into a 2001' Carrera 4 Hubba Bubba . Best make it a targa though, I drool for soft-tops .
Or we could always modify this Ford 460ci in my van for Alchohol drag and make it redline at about 10,000rpm. Though the constant overhauls would be a pain in the arse. Ehehehe Right now it has a Holley 750 Dual Feed carb sitting on top with a power cam. I wouldn't mind testing that horsepower alone, I'd imagine a bit over 450hp with "Super 93" in her. heheheh

A cummings Diesel can ram it. 8.2 liters of crap. I think this isnt quite right. You go comparing a porsche to an acura. Hmmm, quite different there, about $60,000 different. Yeah, I dig Porsches- I really liked the Targa, either 98 or 99, with the retractable glass roof. That was real nice.
As far as this 460 in your ford van...is it in the van now and are you racing the van? Dear god if you are. Is this 460 a ford built? I dont recall any 460s being made by ford (although Im not up-to-date on van racing).

These are base prices, though TL only comes loaded, only option is navagation system,, the auroras, add $3,000-$4,000 to the MSRP for optional equiptment
Also, the TL has a honda engine, you can run these things into the ground, i'm guessing it will outlast the GM engine by about 10 years and have 1/2 the probs. The TL is a tad big smaller though, maybe 5 inches in overall lengh, that's about it
The aurora that we had on vacation wasn't that impressive, your avalon is much nicer AK, same engine output too, cept your engine sounds mucho better hehe
Bill is still stupid and is crazy about auroras, he is the same way about avalons i think though hehe, smack some sense into him

1 correction- Type S 0-60 is 6.2 seconds (Car and Driver)
Either way- giddy up! 1/4 mi. in 14.8 seconds. giddy up again! I think its safe to say that the Type S is my favorite modern car. Z06 and NSX are a close 2nd and 3rd.

I dunno AK, NSX? I like them, i dunno about their performance, they NSX T or whatever it is has the 290hp V6 I think, z06 is hella sweet though

Pretty damn impressive to me. All that and it is the best handling mass produced car made (motor trend). Its the closest thing to a F1 race car you can legally drive on the street. By far, one of the best cars currently being made.
BTW- here are the Z06's numbers =
0-60 = 4.4
1/4mi = 13.0
both the NSX and Z06 numbers came from road and track. Also, next year's Z will have an upgrade to 405hp and 405lb ft. with that added power, look for the vette to crush some vipers. awww yeah.

yeah hehe, AK, i'm actually looking for a car again hehe. All this talk is really spoiling me for what i'm gonna get lol. I think the most likely thing is gonna be something with that GM 3.1L If I do get something with that I might somehow get something done with the intake and exhaust for upped performance, But then i will die.
Anyway. yeah NSX is all good, me and my mom saw one of them a little while ago in a parking lot, she was just like "I don't like it, you look like you are sitting on the ground"

Dude, I dunno about GM. Dont go buying a car just because it has that engine. Go foreign for the love of god! honda or toyota preferably. sure they may cost a little more, but show your parents the reliability records for a civic or accord (in consumer reports or anywhere) and convince them that foreign is the only way to go. hell, you say you would mod the GM 3.1- put that money towards a better car!

i'm talking about moding like a year after I buy it when i have enough money saved up. I'm saying the GM 3.1l cause those cars are common and are gonna be much easier to find.
I was also thinking about an Integra, those can be expensive though. I dunno about anything else foreign that is in my range, lemme look at some est prices
94-95 Celica GT High end of my price range
94 Integra GS-R Even higher, and anything older is different model. This has a nicer engine than the Celica, 170hp opposed to 130.
94-95 MX-6 LS OK all around, but mazda, not toyota or honda engine
95 Eclipse GS Not the GS-T(too expensive), and that is what i would want.
95 240SX Nissan and rather expensive for it.
Prelude=Integra correct? how come the prelude costs $4000 more?
Well that's all i can think of in the foreign market. i'm sorta surprised the celica and eclipse are the weakest of those oh well, AK, bring me your brothers car!!

Ok gerb- here is what Im sayin.
You put down your foriegn car choices. All toyota and honda SPORTS cars. They are going to cost more. When you talk american- you mention cars with a GM 3.1L engine. Those arent sports cars. Grand Ams, Cutlasses, whatever- they are different cars. What I was saying is- look for comprable foreign cars- not foriegn sports cars. Look at accords and civics- camrys and corolas. They are comprable to the american cars you seek.
btw- a prelude is different than an integra. The prelude is just higher up in the honda food chain.
also- you were lookin at the top of the line jap sports cars. Dont expect to drive an integra R. First off- waaay rare, and they are out of your range. Go with a base integra- a shit load cheaper and still reasonably quick. Alot more entertaining than a grand am.

yeah, I dunno, for the american cars i'm liking the Tbird SuperCoupe. I't has by far the most power and JR says that it will be rather cheap for what it is. For all the car's i'm looking 2 door. I don't think Monte Carlo, Grand Am you could compare with Camry, accord, and Corolla. Anyway, camry's and accords are the most expensive thing ever lol.... i think a 90 camry est. price is like $5000. or something.
Yeah for the integra, i know that about the GS-R, I just think that the 170hp for that car would be real nice. I'm sorta disappointed in the poor show by the Celica, 130hp? i dunno.
the GM 3.1l is 170hp, same as bill's car. I wish i could put the camry engine in a celica. That would be hella sweet hehe. There is a 200hp celica, i think the older models, i'm guessing hard to find. I dunno, I think i might have to take what I can get. Ug....

and- accords and camrys can be compared to monte carlos and grand ams. carlos and grand ams arent fast- espically grand ams. they are supposed to be sporty versions of the lumina and i think the cutlass, but they are no sportier than your camry.

Yeah, I don't have that much a prob with the integra's engine, 145hp is decent on it because the car is so light. the R would be nice with 170 but I don't think that's about to appear. And also with some performance mods over the years 145 could be 200

I'm trying to get an Integra right now. They are 145hp stock(no the GSR, but those are very hard to find, they are 170) but they are light, I figure I could get it to 200hp if i wanted to. I'll race ya laggy hehe. I could get it up higher if I wanted to but it would cost too much and I wouldn't need 300hp out of it.

yup, he got T-boned by what he thinks is an Accord. It was a 2 way stop, he didn't think the Honda was going as fast as it was, so he started to pull out, then bam! He said he got spun pretty far, He figured the Honda was going about 50mph, by the damage I think it was a bit slower. TonyBear wasn't hurt, his GirlFriend was sitting shotgun and she got some bruises, but from what Tony can tell, nothing major. Her friend was sitting in the back on that side, She was unconsious, also a hairline fracture in her hip. Tony says that in a week or so she should be fine.
The car, well, the car took the brunt of the damage. Tony got a ticket for failing to yeild, but he is picking court supervision, I think his rates will get raised anyway, because of the accident, but Lauren is his insurance agent. Well, I'll fill you in as I learn more. Tony is alright though, just pissed. He did find a '96 integra LS for $9000 that he says he is probably going to get.

those old 5.0s could have had more power, they just never released it. stupid ass government and all the polution controlls. hell, thats how you could have a corvette with a 427ci and have it make under 200 hp. Those 427 were capable of 500 horsepower if you let them breathe..
