Windows 2K Pro - Automatic Updates

When I go into Automatic Updates in control panel, A message reads along the top:
"The Windows Update Service is unavailable"
I have stopped and started it in Services but that didnt help at all. It is a computer on a network and all the other computers on the network run Automatic Updates fine. I am completely stuck, hence this post.

Are you able to do manual Windows Updates? I've found some (2 of 80) PC's on my network will refuse to do Windows Updates via the site and I actually have to download the updates and install them manually. If they won't do the install from the site, it may not be able to contact the site and that may be the cause of your problems.
Course, honestly I don't think that is the reason, but it can't hurt to try.

It is working now... all of a sudden. I changed the registry settings and this seemed to work, even though the exact same thing wasn't working a few days ago. Hmm, gotta love Microsoft.
