I know there is already a thread, but I'm fairly sure it's ages old by now.
But anyhow, I just got back from the Bad Religion show downtown. It was ****ing wicked. The opening band I'd never heard of, "Throwrag" but they put on a good show, got the crowd nice and riled for The Casualties. They had a sweet ass set on stage, got everyone even more pumped. Then Bad Religion came on and the entire front section became one giant pit. It was wild. Had such a good time and got ****ing blitzed.
Great show, my first time seeing Bad Religion on stage, since an all-day summer thing a local radio station does I didn't get to see them back in May. Cake was also down at the Filmore tonight. Had me and a couple of my boys planned better, we would have went to last night's Bad Religion and Cake's show tonight.
So has anyone else been to any kickass shows lately?

The Doors 21st Century put on the best show I'll ever see this past June in Chicago.
Met Ray Manzarek backstage and he said they're putting on the best shows of their careers..... I fully agree.
Mr. Morrison would certainly be proud.
Gerbilo and myself have a roadtrip planned to Atlanta this october. He's meeting some friends of his and I'll be hitting another Doors show there. Should be grand.

A friend and I are talking about driving down to Vegas in late October for an AFI show and a few nights of fun on the strip.

The Norah Jones concert in Berkeley in August was very, very cool.

I went to two Pearl Jam shows consecutive nights back in the spring. The first show was in Nashville Tennesee, and then the next day we drove down to Atlanta Georgia for the second. The set list was completely different from the 1st night to the 2nd, which in turn, made for two Kick-Ass shows.
I know most of you could probably care less, but I find it interesting that Bad Religion was the opening band for Pearl Jam in a tour they did back in 1995. I did not know that until recently, and up until then, had never thought there was any kind of connection between the two bands.

Philly Fest + Tempest performing on the mainstage = Love
(+ the fact that I get to see them for free every year since I'm a volunteer )

Summer Sanitarium was pretty kickin' back in july. Oddly enough, linkin park totally stole the show.

Friday I went to see Lacuna Coil down in Spartanburg. It was my second time seeing them. They were amazing even better than the first time. After the show I got the whole band to autograph my cd covers as well as get pictures with them Cristina = Awesome

Well, I went to my first concert in July! It was pretty good, Foo Fighters! Woo! But I don't really have anything to compare it to... since, well, I'm a newb at the concert experience! Poor Me...
I'm intensly jealous of my dad though... He got to go to a Nirvana concert before!!! (some of you probably don't care, but to me, thats huge!)

Got to see Pearl Jam last year while I was here at school. They put on a pretty rockin show, Assembly Hall and U of Illinois itself didn't seem like a great venue though. About 150 seats took up the whole floor and the fan club ended up getting ALL of em. Their set was pretty kickass though, especially closing with Baba O'Riley.

I was at Warped Tour '03. AFI and Thrice put on great shows.

Last concert I went to was No Doubt and it was like in January or around that time(dont really remember). Before that I had been to at least a dozen No Doubt concerts, 5 Aerosmith, 1 Up in smoke tour, 2 Ozfest, 2 Korn and a few others. My favorite ones are the No Doubt.

It's been a couple years since I attended any concerts, but the two that stick in my mind from then were two concerts in Memphis. Black Sabbath with all the original members was absolutely awesome, still haven't recovered my hearing fully and don't think I will, but it was worth it.
A few days or weeks before I saw Blue Oyster Cult in a very intimate settting, probably around 3 or 400 people in attendance and it was intense. The only original member was the lead singer, in top form BTW. Club 616 cost $10 a person. Great concert.

I missed most of the good shows this summer. I did see Dropkick though, that was pretty awesome. Before that, last good show I can think of was Mindless Self Indulgence which was ****ing amazing.

Tsunami Bomb is opening for some other band here in Denver in a week or two. We thought they were the openers for the show we just went to but they turned out not to be. Too bad, I was interested in seeing their "pirate punk"

oh, and every other week or so i see this really good local band, maybe you've heard of them Clones of Sa... oh, i give up

Mudvayne and Powerman 5000 are coming here in October. I'll probably check them out. Hatebreed will be here as well, but they're playing with Slayer (ick.)

AK, Foreigner or Kansas playing anywhere?!

Within the past month I've seen The Locust, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and No Candy. Great bands if you're into grindcore.

It was really tight. The singer punched me in the face, but beside that, it was the best show I had seen them do.

Nope, the shows are just really violent. I got hit with a chair in the previous show.

Cold++
Ion was there, very cool band, very energetic.
Cold played an awesome show, in the middle of it the rest of the band went off stage and dude started doing some accoustic shit, it was awesome. The croud sucked ass though, they weren't very energetic, just standing around in the pit like a bunch of pussies. Towards the end a small circle formed and I had a blast in that, but the crowd was still disappointing. Ah well.
Mudvayne on the 30th. That's going to be intense, last time they were here the Filmore turned into one giant pit. I'm pysched.
