Playstation 2 Compatability

I have an American system, but currently living in Holland. I'm not interested in playing European games or imports, just looking to get my American system and games to work on a Dutch television set. At first it was only grayscale, black and white, but I bought a PAL converter, now it is only in shades of red. Any advice or hardware suggestions?

I didn't know you could get NTSC->PAL converters. However, they might only work for typical TV resolutions. May not work for interlaced high res, such as what the game consoles use.
Your best bet is to try and find yourself an NTSC TV, and just use that. Either that, or you might be stuck getting a european PS2 and then buying new games.
