Hi everyone.
New person here. I'm female from the UK.
Two years ago I didn't know how to turn a computer on or off (they didn't have them when I was at school ) I taught myself, and I now have family members ringing me for advice (mainly internet advice though).
I started out with W98 (man I loved that PC) but now (as you can see from my signature) I have XP.
Well, that's enough about me, I hate having to talk about myself.

Hi guys, love the forum! It's easy on the eyes and it's geting better every day!
I am an old DOS 'C' programmer from way back. I hate the fact that Windows <2000 have stolen 68 of the ASCII CHAR symbols! Where the hell did the symbol for pi go? Worse than that, they have brought out XP for dummies and now ½ my naming abbreviations cannot be used to edit the file names!
Microsoft have stolen them all for internal functionality and do you think I can find an XP ASCII char set listing anywhere?
Hah! but I do love the GUI that's been developed thru windows and W3 over the decade I've been indisposed.
I'm especially interested in Javascript as I catch up technology and learn once again fluent Geekspeak
Any help will always be gratefully subsumed thank you. Ya never know, I might end up helping some of you guys, (& gals) sometime from GMT+12=¤200309190245»
