Thats cool.
-begin stupid part of post-
When they're there... tell them to make the movie good.
And say it like you mean it.
-end idiocy-

I thought the next one, which I think is supposed to be called "Resident Evil: Nemesis" was done shooting earlier this year. Is this it or is this a 3rd one?
Posted by: Gerbilo
hrmm, dunno, but i remember in the movie at the end them speakin of the "nemesis project" or whatnot... if this is a 3rd, even better, more money of mine spent seein movies..

Seems like Toronto is the popular place to shoot movies. When I was checking out the University campus, there were movie trucks and the like there and my cousin was pointing out where they shot crap like Black Sheep.

Someone who was recently on Conan said that a ton of american movies are shot in Canada now because its much much cheaper to do it there than in America. Then if its based on an American city, like seatle or New York, they just fill in shots of that city later on.
Posted by: uh...ok
That has had to be said in at least 10 other talk shows 10 different other times in the past 10 years...

ya, the original RE was shot entirely in Germany I think...

Damn, it is RE2...

I saw the teaser/trailer for this last nite when I saw Underworld. Seems interesting, i'm sure i'll check out this go around. It seems the Umbrella Corp wants to reverse the aging process

One thing I cant understand about the casting.
The characters in this one are: Alice(of course), Jill Valentine, Carlos Olivera, Terri Morales, L.J. and Nicholai. Now here is who they have cast for the role of Nicholai:

HUH? Nicholai is a big, buzz cut military guy.

From the website synopsis:
To reach their goal, they will need to battle their way through the relentless onslaught of the ravenous undead, as well as Umbrella forces and terrifying bioengineered weapons, the most deadly of which is the colossal, heavily armed assassin, NEMESIS.
Damn... if done right, the Nemesis could be hella badass.
Think he/it's gonna be CG?
Posted by: SKYHN
Im betting it may be CG for scenes in where he jumps onto ledges and stuff, and for anything that comes out of his body, such as tentacles. But I would expect it to be a good costume for everything else. Nemesis isnt very agile and moves kind of slow.
Posted by: Gerbilo
I'd guess CG, judging by their use of it during the first movie...
Posted by: SKYHN
They only used CG for the scenes where the licker attacked and mutated and part of the end scene with the last mutation. I dont remember if when alice kicked the dog if it was CG or dummy. The rest of it was all costumes/pupets. The cerebrus dogs were real, they wore prosthetics.
Posted by: Gerbilo
yeah, yay DVD extras
they said how much of a pain in the ass it was to get the dogs to keep that shit on them
