Hi

I have got a Cisco 2611 and need to configure it to be in a network. I have configured 2 ethernet ports on the box, one is 192.168.1.1 and the other is 10.1.10.10. I can ping from the 192 side to the 10. side but only the port of 10.1.10.10. I have a PC and another route on the 10. side and they cannot be pinged. From the 10. side I am trying to ping a PC on the 192. side but can only get as far as the 192. port. Anyone any ideas, I feel sure it is a routing table issue, I have turned off RIP.

They would need to be on the same network IP i.e. both on 192.168.1.x. They would also need the same subnet mask. You will only be able to ping the other port from the diff network addy as two netowkrs cannot share the same resources.

Hi Steve

the ethernet ports are set up int he static routing tables. I can today send a ping from one PC to the other but at the moment I cannot get to a second router hanging off the network, anyone any ideas. I have set it up as a neighbour but still no joy as yet. The IP of the router is 10.1.10.1.

Thanx
