AOL 9.0 and secure sites

I am unable to access secure sites with AOL 9.0. I have AOL 8.0 on the same computer and I can acccess secure sites through it. I have tried doing everything that AOL has recommended - deleted cookies, check on offline content, cleared history, restored defaults, security settings to low, SSL2.0 and 3.0 checked, TLS1.0 not checked, accept all cokies, replaced AOL adapter...
It just seems so strange that it works on 8.0 but 9.0 on the same computer.
Any suggestions?

how are you accessing the sites? aol browser, ie, or some other one? or all ?

I'm not sure. I just sign in to AOL and go from there - probably Internet Explorer. By secure sites I mean sites where you are going to pay for something.

install ie if you dont already have it and try that.
