TI83 calculator

my son's calculator has a dark screen when turned on and cannot be used........he was able to get it back on(press and hope) but does'nt know what he did.......it's back to black again........any ideas..HELP!

Have you tried adjusting the brightness/contrast? Maybe it's just set really dark. New batteries might be worth a try too.

I believe you change the contrast with a key combination. I don't have the calculator with me. But, I think you use the 2nd key (top left) with the up and down keys on the top right.

yep, push the second key and hold down the down arrow.

If that dosent work, take out all the batteries, AAA and other and it should reset it.
