Microsoft security

A more descriptive title would be nice next time ... changed it for you this time...

I want to see the full text of this report. Simply outrageous.

I think it's not so much that microsoft is riddled with security holes (which it is), but more over the fact that you can't just change around the source and stuff to customize it to your system. The problem with that is it means that its one worm to kill them all, because all coppies of windows have essentially the same holes and flaws.

Honestly, while i love and run linux, I think there'd be the same fuss if there was one, proprietary, closed source distribution of linux that everyone ran.

nothing outrageous about it. they havent said anything new. as long as most systems run windows, its going to be a huge security risk. if anyone actually read it, the writers [of the report] even said its not windows thats the problem, its the monopoly.

Here's an article that I found interesting several months ago, seems to have come true:

Well, there are exploits for Linux, but they are continually downplayed by the Linux community by always comparing them to exploits on Windows ... Or the open source community fixes it and then forgets it happened, hehe
