hi i'm trying to play LAN games using my wireless router and adapters

I'm using a NETGEAR CABLE/DSL Wireless Router Model MR301 (802.11b)

The current wireless adapter I am using is Netgear Wireless Adapter Model MA301.

Please help, thanks!

What is the problem that you are having? If you want to host LAN games (which are bound only for your network) then you should have no trouble. However, it will run slowly because Wi-Fi does not really have enough bandwith for servers.

If you need help starting a LAN game check the support for each game but it is usually under a menu something like this: Hostgame----> LAN game or Local Game.

i'm currently having trouble playing LAN games, i created a game on comp A (warcraft 3 tft) and went to 'LAN Games' (in warcraft 3 tft) on comp B, but the game was not there

Are you sure the network is working?
Check and see if you can ping the other computer.

Also, make sure that TCP/IP is setup properly on both computers. Make sure that both are using the same workgroup/subnet mask. Make sure they both have different IP's and computer names.

i'm currently having a problem setting up my network, i've contacted the company but they've given me nothing but bilch and insist i call a toll-not-free hotline to seek help. i do not know how to set up the TCP/IP properly nor do i know how to make them both the same subnet mask. I've tried to set up a workgroup on 1 of the comp but it failed.

(This is for windows 98?

Start*Settings*Control Panel.
Double click network.
There you will find how to set settings to the networks.
I suggest checking TCP/IP.

The thing is, I'm currently using Windows XP and my wireless adapters are connected via USB ports. So During Network Setup Wizard, my adapter is not shown in the list.

The process should be similiar.
I dont have much expierence with winXP though.

Depending on how old your wireless adaptors are, they might be too slow for networking. Try moving all access points closer, and removing any obstacles in between.

You need to explain what the problem is youre having more clearly.

The problem is I am having difficulty setting my router and adapter up as a LAN, so that I can play LAN Games from different comps with each other.

- Try download&run BattleLANv0.5 on Windows XP. (click here to download battlelan http://www.playground.ru/download/?cheat=751 or search in google)
- Add LAN ips/hosts to the list and click 'Start'
- Run War3, create a local game. Now you can play on LAN.
